for Parents...
ParentsIt is the goal of Vidor ISD to be full partners with parents in the education of our students. Parents can shape their child's attitude toward school by making their home a good place to learn by building a relationship with teachers and by showing an interest in their child's instructional activities and homework.

One of the keys to improve student performance in our district has been the level of parental involvement. It is a goal of Vidor ISD to provide resources and training to the parents of our students enabling them to be more effective partners in the education of their children.

Each campus houses a resource center for parents to obtain a wealth of free educational materials. Some of the resources available are skill workbooks, educational games, and reference materials to help parents who are seeking additional practice materials for their children.

Parents will register their student online with the district's Skyward program. This new feature will enable families to enter and update biographical data anytime using secure, customized online registration forms and is automatically delivered to the VISD student information system. A Family Access account has been established for the parents/guardians of each child enrolled in VISD schools. Account information is mailed home during the summer before campus registrations begin. All forms must be submitted before the student can complete campus registration.
Parents/guardians of new students to the district must bring all required documentation to the campus before receiving the Family Access account login to complete the registration process.
