Driver Education is offered through the VISD Community Education Department. Classes are filled at 30 students on a first come,
first-serve basis, giving priority to Vidor High School students.
The program consists of 32 hours of classroom instruction and 7 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. The total fee for the
program is $300.00. Payment arrangements can be set up as needed. Payments MUST be complete before the classroom
portion ends. A $35.00 nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve a space in the class. This deposit is part of the $300.00
fee. All fees must be paid to the VISD Administration building (1255 N. Main St.).
Payment, dates, and location can be found on the Driver Ed information sheet.
Vidor Independent School District is proud to be a part of the community of Vidor. With the family--oriented community lifestyle, it is no wonder that many former students come back to take leadership roles in our schools and businesses. VISD encourages community and parent partnerships as we endeavor to give our students an education that is second to none.
Vidor ISD Community Education supports lifelong learning. Periodically, we host courses to help you get fit, keep your brain sharp, gain a new skill, or just learn something fun. Residence in Vidor is NOT a requirement to take these classes! We have folks come from all over... so join us for 'learning for a lifetime!'
